A warehouse is a point on a network, so the location decision starts with the network: inbound origins, port cluster, Sriperumbudur-Oragadam plants, upcountry suppliers; outbound destinations, Chennai's consumption, regional South India distribution, exim flows; and vehicle profile, multi-axle trunking versus city LCVs. Mapping a year of dispatch data against the corridor options answers most of the location question before a single site visit.
